Bolt & Bench Repairs

Main St · Ticket #1042

iPhone 13 — cracked screen

Current statusReceived
Dropped off and logged

QR + PIN access. Customer contact fields and serial/IMEI stay hidden.

No app. Scan the QR + PIN on the receipt.

From drop-off to done

Four steps. No spreadsheets, no sticky notes.

  1. 1RECEIVED

    Intake in 30 seconds

Log the device and the fault. Repalune prints a receipt with a QR claim tag and a private PIN.

  2. 2IN_REPAIR

    Work the bench

Advance the ticket down the pipeline as you go. Every change is timestamped on the customer's timeline.

  3. 3READY_FOR_PICKUP

    It notifies for you

Mark it “ready for pickup” and the customer gets an email automatically. No phone tag.

  4. 4COMPLETED

    Scan, confirm, done

They present the tag, you confirm, the ticket closes. Honest status, happy customer, fewer interruptions.

The final step

A repaired device. A warranty to stand behind it.

Once the device is repaired, issue its warranty at handover. It stays linked to the repair ticket, or can be created on its own.

  1. Issue the warranty

Record the covered parts, duration and terms. The issued certificate can be printed for the customer.

  2. Check it at the counter

Scan the certificate QR code or, when an IMEI was recorded, its barcode to check coverage in the staff-only warranty lookup.

  3. Email the customer

When an email address is provided and email delivery is configured, the issued warranty is emailed to the customer.

Repair Warranty is available on its own and included with Repair Ticket and Multi-store.

Both sides of the counter

Built end-to-end — for the bench and the pocket.

For the shop

Run the whole shop from one board.

  • Pipeline board — every device, every stage, at a glance.
  • Separate desk accounts — front desk, repair bench, and payment desk, each with a focused workspace.
  • Auto-notify — email fires on “ready.”
  • Photos & notes — proof of condition, attached to the ticket.
  • Audit & GDPR — a record of every change, erase-on-request built in.
For the customer

Check the repair from anywhere, anytime.

  • Scan & go — QR + PIN on the receipt, no app to install.
  • Live timeline — see each stage the moment it happens.
  • QR + PIN access. Customer contact fields and serial/IMEI stay hidden.
  • Remembered — a refresh skips the PIN for two weeks.
  • Honest ETA — they know it's ready before they call.
The toolkit

Everything a repair counter actually needs.

Focused staff accounts

One shop. Three desks. No shared passwords.

Give each teammate a separate login and only the workspace their job needs. The owner sends a secure email link, valid for 10 minutes, and can disable access at any time.

Front desk

Fast, privacy-aware intake.

Register customers and devices, print the QR + PIN receipt, and attach condition photos.

  • Intake-only workspace
  • No repair queue or payment ledger
Repair bench

The work, without the money.

See the repair queue, add notes, propose work, and move tickets through each stage.

  • No customer contact details
  • No payment data
Payment desk

Collect what is due.

See the ticket, customer and device label, payment status, and balance; record payments without opening repair notes.

  • Minimal payment view
  • No customer contact details

Staff-account availability follows your plan’s seat limit.

01

A live pipeline board

Move every device through received → diagnosing → awaiting approval → in repair → ready. One glance shows where everything is.

02

QR + PIN, zero login

Each intake mints a claim tag. Customers scan it, type the PIN once, and follow their repair — no account, no app store.

03

Privacy by design

The customer page omits contact fields and device serial/IMEI. Shop messages, notes and visible photos can still contain personal information; only share content intended for that customer.

04

Notifications that send themselves

The moment a ticket hits “ready for pickup,” the customer gets an email automatically. No chasing, no callbacks.

05

Photos on the ticket

Capture the cracked screen at intake and the fixed one at pickup. Uploads go straight to storage, attached to the job.

06

Focused roles, branches & audit

Owner, front desk, repair bench, and payment desk roles across multiple branches — with an audit trail and one-click GDPR erase.

Good questions

The things shops ask first.

Do my customers need to install an app?

Never. They scan the QR on their receipt (or tap the short link) and enter the PIN once. A refresh remembers them for 14 days — no app, no account, no friction.

Is any personal data exposed on that public page?

The customer page omits contact fields and device serial/IMEI. Shop messages, notes and visible photos can still contain personal information; only share content intended for that customer.

How does the customer find out it's ready?

Automatically. When you advance a ticket to “ready for pickup,” Repalune emails them. The “is it done yet?” calls simply stop.

Can I run more than one location?

Repair Warranty — Branches: 3. Repair Ticket — Branches: 3. Multi-store — Branches: Unlimited

What if a customer loses the tag?

The PIN is printed on their receipt, and staff can look the ticket up by number. Tokens are revocable and expire on their own after pickup, so a lost tag is never a leak.
